This definition from Wikipedia, is wonderful, according to we can abstract solar energy to generate some electricity. But the ugly truth is that nowadays the quality of this type of energy is not enough efficient, you must know that the solar panel with more performance only have a 25%. So nowadays this energy can't compete with others like a oil, gas or nuclear power, which always have more than solar energy.
On the other hand we must accepted that our planet is threatened by the demand of energy that our world overpopulated need. Moreover if you accept that nuclear power, which humans considered secure and which kept up the earth is one of the most dangerous energy that we can find in the universe, is the future energy... Probably we will tear up the only thing that all humans share, our home, our past …
In my opinion I think that humanity only will find a solution when we can't go with our 4x4, because our mind only can think with this kind; live the moment, we are animals who never want to think with future, because we are the only animal which know that in the future we will die.
To benefit from solar power, it is just a matter of setting up the system and using the energy that is produced. The main requirement for a successful solar power system is that you have access to the sun, which is an easy requirement to meet!
